Mikael’s background combines a highly technical skillset as well as the deep experience of being a founder and builder in Web3. Prior to founding Cryptonite Capital, he sat as CTO and was part of the founding team of BTCChina, China’s first and at the time, one of the largest crypto exchanges globally. Mikael spearheaded the development of BTCChina’s entire tech stack across exchange infrastructure, mining and security. At Cryptonite Capital, Mikael as a crypto native is focused on leveraging his experience to provide technical advisory services for portfolio companies, provide in-depth perspective on technological context to the investment process and setting up world class security frameworks for fund operations and custody. Mikael holds a MSc in Mobile Informatics and BSc in Software Engineering from Chalmers University of Sweden.
